All Things Nursery
Planning and gathering all the elements of baby girl’s nursery was so much fun. This room became my happy place during the quarantine and it helped me a lot to have a project to focus on amid all the scary pandemic news.
I had always known that her walls would be blue. I loved the grass cloth wallpaper that was already up too much and I thought it would temper the pink pieces while complementing the cottage vibe I was shooting for. I went with a mixture of cream and white for the furniture, silver/gray for the storage baskets , and accents of pink on a pillow, the changing pad, and the ottoman. At the last minute I added a robins egg blue side table next to the glider and a muted grey leopard print rug. The table was the perfect extra pop of color. And what can I say about the rug? I am such a leopard print girl, and it just felt like me. Which felt right for my little miss too.
Obviously, I had to do all my shopping online. I felt like I was taking a million screenshots a day, but it was a great way to collect ideas and see how/if things matched. I could compile the different shots into one picture too, which helped me see the room from a design angle first. It all really come together and I’m so proud and ready to bring our baby girl home to her room, the best room in the house!
