Christmas with Clarice

In the blink of an eye we have a 6 month old!

This year Christmas was extra special with our darling little gift of a girl. It was fun, although more tiring than usual, to decorate the house fo the first time with Clarice watching. But it was all worth it to see her face light up once the tree was plugged in. She spends all the time she can under those lights, and its safe to say she appreciates her jumper and activity table much more now that they are parked under the tree.

Another highlight of this magical season was when Clarice’s grandfather dressed up as Santa Claus for our Christmas card pictures. it was beyond cute, and extra special because we could do it at home and the tradition kicked off despite Covid. Clarice loves her grandpa so much and I pretty sure she recognized his warm voice and chill vibe even through the Santa suit.

Clarice also started solids at the beginning of December! We are doing a mix of baby led feeding and homemade purees and it’s going very well. Favorites include eggs, bananas, steak, sweet potatoes, avocado, apples, and peaches. She’s undecided about broccoli and peas, but humors me most of the time.

Last but not least, we celebrated Dereks birthday mid-month and it was so fun to revel what an awesome Dad he is with cake and our little family of three.
